Privacy Policy

This document is a plain-language summary of how MeasureBuddy handles information today. It is not yet a legally reviewed privacy policy and will be replaced before public launch.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email, and (for contractors) company, service area, and licensing information you choose to provide.
• Project content — the home photos you upload, the design selections you make, project notes, and any scope or quote details a contractor enters.
• Product activity — which categories, materials, colors, and styles are viewed, selected, saved, or shared, so we can improve the product.
• Technical data — basic device, browser, and request information needed to operate the service and prevent abuse.

How we use it

• To generate visualizations of the home you uploaded and save your designs.
• To let you share a project with a contractor, or a contractor share a proposal with you.
• To operate, secure, support, and improve MeasureBuddy.
• To produce aggregated, de-identified market insight about exterior product and color preferences.

Aggregated market insight

We study which exterior products, materials, and colors people choose. That analysis uses structured, de-identified records only — no photos, no names, emails, phone numbers, or street addresses, and never a contractor's internal costs. Insight shared with any third party is aggregate and reported only for groups large enough that no individual home, homeowner, or contractor can be identified.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not publish your photos or project details without an explicit share you create.
• We do not show a contractor's private notes or internal costs to homeowners.

Sharing

When you publish a share link, MeasureBuddy freezes a copy of exactly what you chose to show and makes that copy viewable by anyone with the link. Later edits to your project do not change an existing share. You can deactivate a share at any time.

Service providers

We rely on vendors to host the application and database, store images, generate visualizations, send email, and process payments. They may process your data only to provide those services to us.

Retention and deletion

We keep project content while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and its project content by contacting us; some records are retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at support@measurebuddy.com. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential email from any message we send.

Children

MeasureBuddy is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

We will publish a new version of this policy here when it changes, and we record the version in force when you accepted our terms.
